Fridayy is no stranger to The Morning Hustle, but this time, he pulled up with a different energy—one rooted in healing, self-awareness, and emotional depth. The rising star opened up about how music has become his therapy, particularly as he navigates personal loss, including the passing of his father. He hopes that by sharing his journey, he can help other Black men process their own traumas through music.

In a hip-hop space where vulnerability isn’t always embraced, Fridayy is making it clear that emotional depth and storytelling are necessary. “I know a lot of Black men who’ve been through what I’ve been through, and sometimes, we don’t have the space to talk about it. That’s why I make this music,” he shared. His ability to translate raw emotions into melody has created a deep bond between him and his fans, and he wants to continue that connection with his latest project.

The new album is a two-sided, 21-track journey that showcases Fridayy’s full range like never before. It blends genres effortlessly—R&B, hip-hop, Afropop, and even a touch of country. He wanted to push himself creatively, and the features on this album reflect that. With collaborations ranging from Wale and Kehlani to Nigerian star Teni and Chris Brown, Fridayy is proving that he’s not just an R&B artist—he’s a musical chameleon.

As he continues to carve out his lane in the industry, Fridayy is showing that being open and vulnerable is a strength, not a weakness. His new music is here to heal, uplift, and most importantly, remind Black men that their emotions matter.

His latest project is available now—stream it everywhere, and catch the full interview with The Morning Hustle for an even deeper dive into his creative process drops Friday March 21 on Youtube!
