This past weekend, Jazz in the Garden in Miami brought together some of the hottest names in the game—and Kyle and Lorel were backstage, catching up with some familiar faces. One of the first artists they ran into was BG from the Hot Boys, who didn’t shy away from addressing that now-infamous Birdman moment that had the internet in a frenzy.

With his signature lighthearted energy, BG kept it real: “He had a few drinks in him.” Classic BG. No shame, no drama—just straight-up honesty. If you’ve been following Birdman’s career, you know the Cash Money mogul isn’t one to be phased by controversy. But the viral moment of him seemingly nodding off mid-performance last month definitely raised eyebrows. It was caught on camera: Birdman standing behind Turk, his head dropping for over 15 seconds, before being nudged awake by BG and snapping back into the performance like nothing happened.

While the clip sent the internet into overdrive, Turk wasn’t worried in the slightest. In a recent interview with B High ATL, he brushed it all off, saying, “I don’t know what be going on, man. I be on that muthafucka having Turk fun. I be in Turk’s world doing what I’m doing. They gonna always turn something into something that ain’t.” For Turk, it’s all about being in the moment—whatever that moment looks like.

As for Birdman, Turk made it clear: “Baby don’t give a fuck.” The 56-year-old Cash Money boss took the attention in stride, getting right back on stage the next day, talking his usual smack, and keeping it moving. The takeaway? Some moments just are what they are—no need to overanalyze.

Of course, Birdman’s past is no stranger to speculation, especially regarding his crew’s history with substance abuse. Turk himself has been open about his personal struggles with addiction, even serving time for it. But when it comes to Birdman, his public persona is all about moving forward with confidence—drinks or not.

In the world of legends, there’s no room for weakness. Birdman and his crew have always had that “let’s keep it moving” energy, and this moment was just another page in the book. So while some may have questioned his on-stage daze, Birdman’s response was simple: do it again the next day and talk some shit.
