50 Cent is the king petty, and his feud with Rick Ross is one of his longest-running beefs. 50 Cent’s ongoing feud with Rick Ross is now spilling over into his hit series BMF. The show, produced by 50 Cent, is based on the life of Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory—the co-founder of the Black Mafia Family—and features Big Meech’s son playing the younger version of his father. Tensions rose when a photo emerged showing Big Meech with Rick Ross, a longtime rival of 50 Cent. In response, 50 Cent took to social media to call Big Meech a “rat” and hinted that he might cancel the BMF series altogether. This isn’t just about music—this is personal. Their bad blood goes back over a decade, and it’s only gotten messier with time.

2009: The Beef Begins

Rick Ross threw the first shot, claiming in an interview that he had an issue with 50 after a supposed run-in at the BET Awards. 50, never one to let a slight slide, fired back with “Officer Ricky” diss tracks, referencing Ross’s past as a corrections officer.

2010: The Sex Tape Scandal

50 Cent turned up the heat by leaking a sex tape of one of Ross’s baby mothers, Lastonia Leviston, adding his own commentary to the footage. Leviston sued, and in 2015, 50 was ordered to pay her $7 million in damages—leading him to file for bankruptcy.

2015: The Lawsuit Clapback

Ross wasn’t done either. That same year, he countersued 50 for using his song “In Da Club” in a promo video without permission. While the lawsuit didn’t hurt 50 much, it was another layer to their never-ending feud.

2019: Ross Trolls 50’s Music Career

When asked if he’d ever collaborate with 50, Ross laughed it off, saying 50 was no longer “valuable” in the rap game. Of course, 50 took offense, throwing shots at Ross’s relevance.

2024-2025: The BMF Drama

Fast forward to today, and the beef has taken a new turn. 50 Cent’s hit show BMF, based on the Black Mafia Family’s history, is now tangled up in the drama. When Big Meech was seen in a photo with Rick Ross, 50 took it as a betrayal, publicly calling Meech a “rat” and hinting that he might cancel the show. Now, with Ross involved in the upcoming “Big Meech Welcome Back Legacy Concert,” things are even more heated.

“Big Meech Welcome Back Legacy Concert,” scheduled for February 13, 2025, at the Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise, Florida. The event features a star-studded lineup, including Lil Baby, Rick Ross, 21 Savage, Sexyy Red, Kodak Black, 42 Dugg, EST Gee, Moneybagg Yo, BossMan Dlow, Tee Grizzley, Babyface Ray, Icewear Vezzo, Skilla Baby, Peezy, Payroll Giovanni, YTB Fatt, Tay B, Boosie, and Young Scooter.

While the concert celebrates Big Meech’s release and aims to highlight prison reform efforts, specific details about the allocation of funds raised during the event have not been publicly disclosed.

In reaction to 50 Cent’s comments, Rick Ross posted a video seemingly mocking 50 Cent’s criticism, further intensifying the dispute.

50 isn’t letting up, and Ross is more than willing to poke the bear. Whether BMF actually gets canceled or this is just another chapter in their ongoing war remains to be seen. But if history tells us anything, neither of these two will back down anytime soon.
