Meek Mill Doubles Down on Wanting DJ Akademiks Canceled After Twitch Ban

Meek Mill is standing firm on his stance against DJ Akademiks following the blogger’s recent ban from Twitch. Taking to X, Meek reacted to the situation, adding another layer to their longstanding beef.
“He gone be drinking tonight screaming at kids from some other portal lol,” Meek wrote. “These guys’ lives be terrible. NEVER FOLLOW THE HEATHENS.”
Meanwhile, DJ Akademiks addressed the situation in a live stream, calling it a “teachable moment.”
“I am wrong. I will be better,” he admitted. “Hopefully, people can learn from this whole little scandal with me.”
As of January 28, law enforcement has not made any statements regarding Akademiks’ livestream, and no officials have explicitly accused him of any crimes.
Akademiks confirmed that Twitch took action against him but denied losing sponsorships over the controversy.
“My page is still being supported by online casino Stake. Twitch took some action because, even though I wasn’t streaming, that happened on their platform. I completely get it,” he said on his Rumble channel. “We’ll work with Twitch and make it right.”
He also pushed back against claims of a major fallout.
“As far as anyone saying it’s a hailstorm of fallout — that’s not true. Happy Dad is still right here. Stake supports us on Twitter, nothing has changed there.”
So far, Twitch has not publicly commented on Akademiks’ ban.
